Sales Marketing Manager - LA

We are currently looking for an experienced Sales Marketing Manager to join our team.  The position will focus primarily on trade marketing and packaging of Ranker assets to the advertising, publishing and entertainment industries. We are looking for a candidate to work closely with our head of marketing to create all sales marketing communications.

This role is a combination of storytelling and design for someone familiar with publishing/media, digital advertising, social media, programmatic media, data and insights. If you are an expert at a few of the aforementioned, the rest can be learned. You will be expected to “get things done” in an environment that is still somewhat scrappy and startup-like.

What is expected of you?

  • Create and manage (pre-sale and proactive) sales marketing materials, including sales decks, one sheets, templates, emails, seasonal tent poles, reactive RFP responses and generally all collateral around any of our B2B products ( media, Ranker Insights, custom content, Saas platform, etc.)
  • Work with editorial and social to vet, develop and pitch custom content and social ideas for advertisers and work with  key stakeholders in BD and product for Saas and Insights
  • Day to day communication with sales and business development, ongoing training on pitch and marketing materials
  • Have an understanding of digital landscape and shifting needs of clients to develop new solutions and positioning -  ie. last year viewability was the hot topic, this year brand safety, etc.
  • Manage creation of content marketing materials (thought leadership, case studies, insights reports, infographics, etc.)
  • Attend agency pitches and events as requested
  • Keep abreast of competitor’s marketing movements


Who will do great in this role?

  • 2-4 years of current sales marketing, enablement, ad agency or related digital media experience working with a sales team
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in digital,media or publishing
  • Expert skill using Powerpoint, Google tools and copywriting is a must; Photoshop skills a plus
  • A passion for, and experience with, visual storytelling and creative ideation
  • Up to speed on current and online marketing techniques, data, ad products and publishers
  • Passionate about online media and pop culture in general
  • Thirst to learn and grow by doing, proactive self-starter
  • Ability to work with demanding personalities and deadlines
  • Love working in fast-moving, high-growth companies in an industry that is rapidly changing
